Cleveland Chinese Entrepreneur Association (CCEA) is a non-profit organization established in purpose to facilitate investments and entrepreneurs from China and Cleveland. The organization was founded by a group of Chinese-American entrepreneurs and professionals in late 2016. We are committed to fostering/empowering entrepreneurs through all aspects of creating a valid business, bringing Chinese entrepreneurs to Cleveland and Cleveland to China, and ultimately helping them to make entrepreneurial dreams to reality. We welcome entrepreneurs, business owners, VCs, business service providers, and other high-level business or government personnel from all ethnic groups and entrepreneur groups to join us. Our vision is to create a home for globally-minded entrepreneurs in Cleveland and it is the backbone of CCEA’s activity.
Dr. Renjun Bao, Co-Founder, President
Dr.Renjun Bao has extensive business building experience both in USA and China. He started his career as a mechanical engineer after graduated from college. Later he joined WebEx (bought by Cisco) as a software engineer. In 2003 he came to Cleveland for graduate school. While working on his dissertation on NBA scheduling, he worked as a beat writer for the largest sports newspaper in China. He founded Cnjobs Technology in Beijing in 2012. He established relationship with many investors and entrepreneurs while helping companies recruiting new talent. Dr.Renjun Bao got his bachelor of engineering degree from HeFei University of Technology and his Ph.D in engineering from Cleveland State University.
Devoted to the Chinese Community Service, Nancy Yan Liang is a licensed attorney who provide legal consultation to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Nancy was born and raised in south east part of China, and finished her undergraduate study in Zhejiang University of Law. In 2008 she graduated with honour from Case Western Reserve University. After graduation, Nancy passed the New York Bar Exam, and immediately began her legal career in the United States. She is currently an Of-Counsel of Dubyak Nelson LLC, with her main practice areas including business law, real estate, and personal injury. Additionally, Nancy maintains a strong concentration on helping small to medium-size companies conduct successful business in foreign markets. Nancy is a committee Member of Beachwood Bison Feast Fest and COTS Board. She and her husband Yiran reside in Beachwood with their three children.
Dr. Yuxin Wang, Executive Vice President
As CCEA’s Vice President, Dr. Yuxin Wang develops and implements the organization’s strategic plans. Dr. Wang is the scientific director in MedUnion LLC, a consulting firm for pharmaceuticals and medical products practice. He brings deep expertise to help pharmaceutical and biotech clients navigating product life-cycles, optimizing brand strategies and portfolios, and achieving better market access in China. Besides, Dr. Wang works as the research associate in Cleveland Clinic, one of the best hospitals in the U.S., where he has devoted himself to understanding the mechanism of drug resistance in cancer and infectious diseases as well as development in clinical settings. He is also a project scientist in pharmaceutical compound development at the Ocean University of China and Qingdao Marine Biomedical Research Institute. Dr. Wang was born in Changchun and received his Ph.D. in Cancer Biology and Drug Screening from a joint program between Lanzhou University and Cleveland Clinic. He and his wife live in the east side of Cleveland with their two sons.
Lang Xu, Director of Business Development
As CCEA’s Director of Business Development, Lang is responsible for exploring and developing partnership opportunities for the organization. Lang graduated from Oberlin College and has studied at London School of Economics for her junior year. During college, Lang interned at The Riverside company and R3 Worldwide. Lang is currently the Director of Business Development at Flashstarts, Inc, the largest accelerator in Cleveland. She led the launch of Ohio’s first Global EIR program, providing an alternative visa gateway for global entrepreneurs to start and scale their business in Northeast Ohio region. To date, she has secured partnerships with University of Akron (research foundation), Baldwin Wallace University, Burton D Morgan Foundation and Global Cleveland for the program.
